Goodbye “The Crunchy Chronicles”, Hello “Karissa’s Vegan Kitchen”
When I started my blog nearly 4 years ago, I was in a much different place than I am now. I was a new mom who wanted to chronicle her journey of natural DIYing and cloth diapering. I considered myself to be “crunchy” – which is how my original and old blog name “The Crunchy Chronicles” came to be.
Here’s the Urban Dictionary definition of crunchy:
While I still fit that definition personally, I have started to focus my content on a specific niche for a while now – vegan food and lifestyle. While I love where “The Crunchy Chronicles” began, and where it got me in the blogging world, I am ready to move onto a different chapter.
A major decision into the name change was the fact that I wanted my blog name to be self-explanatory. I want people to know that my blog is where they can find vegan recipes without having to read the “about” page on my site or even my tagline.
I loved creating DIY body care posts, green cleaning recipes, etc. But I’m not much of a DIY’er at this stage in my life (my son and my business keeps me busy enough!)
I am super passionate about food, always have been, and that passion has amplified since I started eating a plant-based diet. I think the best way to “convince” people to go vegan is by feeding them really delicious food. Along with my love of food and creating recipes, I have developed a straight up obsession with food photography. It taps into a creative side I wasn’t aware existed within myself.
I’m sure if you’ve been around, you’re well aware that I have shifted my focus, but I wanted to create this official announcement for anyone visiting my site that might be confused or curious.
Thanks so much for sticking with me through this change. I hope to continue to be able to create & share amazing recipes for a long time!
