This apple sage oil-free salad dressing is so easy to make and has only 3 ingredients!
Apple Sage Oil-Free Salad Dressing (Vegan)
When I cut out oil, I missed salad dressing so much! From Italian dressing, to a simple oil and vinegar, to my Vegan Ranch recipe...it's basically the only area where I missed oil, period. (If you are wondering why I stopped consuming oil, this pretty much explains it!)
Thankfully coming up with tasty oil-free salad dressings hasn't been too hard. Once you realize you don't need oil to enjoy a salad, it's really fun to be creative and come up with delicious flavors to top your greens or grains. My favorite salad for this apple sage dressing is this Kale & Cranberry Quinoa Salad. All those fall flavors married together...yes please!
The only ingredients you'll need for this tasty dressing are:
- Apple cider (or apple juice)
- Apple cider vinegar
- Dried sage
Where I'm from (northern New York) apple cider is a BIG deal in the fall. There is nothing like fresh apple cider purchased right from the cider mill! It's one of the things I miss the most since moving to the south. If you don't have the option of going to a cider mill, you can likely find apple cider in the produce section of your grocery store.
