fudgy vegan brownies
– ½ cup melted vegan butter (hot) – 1½ cup granulated cane sugar – ⅓ cup non-dairy milk – 3 teaspoons vanilla extract – 1 cup all-purpose flour – ¾ cup cocoa powder – ¾ teaspoon baking powder – ¼ teaspoon salt – 1 cup vegan chocolate chips
prep the pan
Grease a square baking pan. Then line it with 2 sheets parchment paper. Trim the parchment paper so it fits, but leave excess over the edges to use as handles. The grease helps the paper not move around.
make the batter
In a bowl, whisk together the hot melted butter and sugar. Then, whisk in the milk and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Fold in the chocolate chips.
spread into pan
Look at that thick batter! Spread it into the baking pan using the back of a wooden spoon or a spatula.
time to bake!
Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting! They should turn out super gooey, but crackly on top.
