Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
Peel the apples and then cut them into cubes.
In a large bowl, toss together the apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, flour, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Spread the apple mixture evenly into the baking dish.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix in the melted butter.
Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Notes
To make this recipe gluten-free, use gluten-free flour and oats.
